The BFCA was established in 1989 as a voluntary and independent organisation run by foster carers for foster carers. We have a committee of 23 representing all areas of fostering. The BFCA is funded by Birmingham Social Care & Health and works with the department in partnership advancing your views and recommendations at management meetings and working parties to improve the support, service and remuneration of Birmingham foster carers.
